New Accounts Manager for Blackfriars Contract Division, Plymouth
A familiar face within the Plymouth business scene has joined the sales team at Blackfriars Contract Division which has been operating in the centre of the city for the last 33 years.
Andrew Sewell is the firms new Accounts Manager, bringing to the position all round experience in the print industry.
He says: “I’m delighted to join Blackfriars Contract Division at a time when the company has so many products that offer a competitive edge through cost and time savings, and I’m looking forward to introducing them to the regions businesses.”
He continues: “Blackfriars operates from a large production unit in the centre of Plymouth and uses the most up to date digital printing equipment. The staff here are highly experienced and motivated, and can respond quickly to any production or deadline issue that our customers may have. As well as in-house digital printing and traditional print sourcing, this is the base for Streamline, an innovative service which delivers a health check on the way businesses order stationery, print and so on, which really can result in significant savings.”
Andrew was born 51 years ago in Mannamead. His working life began in 1979 as the 4th generation to work in his family’s wholesale national newspaper and magazine distribution business. When this was sold to WH Smith Wholesale in 1994 Andrew became Circulation Manager for South West Autotrader, and subsequently production manager for TMA Global and South West Regional Sales Manager for Elletson Publishing, working a large area which took in South Wales as well as the West Country.
A stint as a director of Formedia Marketing & PR brought him back to Plymouth, and most recently he was Accounts Manager for the St Ives group in Cornwall.
Andrew’s wife Lynne is a Sister on Crownhill Ward at Derriford Hospital. They have been married for 18 years and their children, Matthew and Katherine, attend St Boniface’s College and Notre Dame School respectively.
